THREE ATTEMPTS CHICAGO 2022

As the competitive scene in the WCA comes to a temporary pause, a few “smaller” competitions have emerged—such as Three Attempts Chicago. As I graduated from junior high just a couple weeks ago, I have a LONG summer ahead of me (and that hopefully means many competitions!). For this competition, there were only four events, and I competed in only three of them as I don’t know how to solve the Square-1 quite yet. This was the first time, though, that I would be competing in the Clock event—not your traditional “cube-shaped” puzzle! Unfortunately, my results were quite subpar, and I didn’t get many solves at this competition as a result of not making it past the first round in any event. However, I still had lots of fun seeing some recognizable faces and got to talk to World Record holder Carter Kucala! Soon, I will leave to go to camp for a month, but I am looking forward to both returning to cubing and getting ready to start my high school journey!
