SWALLOW SPRING 2023

This was a fun event as this was the first competition that my friend Lucas set up and organized as a first time delegate. It was quite strange but also interesting to drive to a town that I had never heard of—especially one that isn’t only half an hour from a global hub like Chicago. At Swallow Spring, I competed in all five of the events, which included the 3x3, 4x4, Clock, Megaminx and Skewb. I’ve found myself to be a lot more consistent with these recent competitions, which I am very proud of—after all, consistency is key! Although I didn’t get any personal bests except in the Clock (which I’m still relatively new to), I had a lot of fun being in a more peaceful, small-scale environment—especially when my freshman high school track season has been reaching a climactic point.

Perhaps I’ll become a delegate in the future (manifesting for now)? I guess time will tell ;)
